A vendor calling out "only 4 left in your size" while a chat scrolls fast underneath them is designed to move you toward a decision quickly. That is not automatically a bad thing, but it does mean livestream shopping rewards a bit of preparation that a static product page does not demand as urgently. Here is how to shop the Bifixit National LIVE Trade Fair on 12–13 December 2026 without letting the pace of the stream make the decision for you.

Buy from vendors, not just moments

The single most useful habit in live shopping is separating the excitement of the moment from the reliability of the seller. Before you buy, glance at the vendor's shop page, not just the item on screen. • Are you buying because you want the item, or because the counter is ticking down?
