How to Register for the Bifixit National LIVE Trade Fair (Step by Step)

Registration for the Bifixit National LIVE Trade Fair is not complicated, but skipping a step can cost you a better slot or a lower fee. Here is exactly what to do, in order, from the moment you decide you want in to the moment your shop is ready for 12 December.

Step 1: Check what category you fit and what it requires

The fair runs across Fashion, Beauty, Electronics, Food and Groceries, Home and Living, and other categories. Before you touch the registration page, confirm your products fit cleanly into one category. If you sell food, cosmetics, drugs, or medical devices, you will need a valid NAFDAC number on hand, because that requirement is checked at registration for those categories specifically. Sort this out first so it does not stall you later.

Step 2: Confirm your CAC status

Nigerian vendors with a valid CAC business registration number get priority slot allocation, meaning better broadcast windows during the two days. If you have a CAC number, have it ready to enter. If you do not yet have one, you can still register as an international-style vendor, but getting your CAC sorted before the fair is worth the effort if you plan to sell in Nigeria long term anyway.

Step 3: Check your subscription status before you pay anything

If your shop is already on Bifixit's active paid subscription plan, registration for the trade fair is free. Before entering any payment details, check your account's plan status. Vendors who skip this step sometimes pay a fee they never needed to pay.

Step 4: Decide your timing

Registration costs ₦100,000 if you register before 1 November 2026, and ₦150,000 from that date onward. There is no benefit to waiting if you already know you are participating, the fee only goes up, never down, and slots for the better broadcast windows fill up as more vendors register early.

Step 5: Go to the registration page and submit your details

Head to bifixit.com/tradefair and follow the registration flow. You will be asked for your business details, your CAC number if you have one, your category, and your NAFDAC number if your category requires it. Submit accurate information here, since slot allocation and category placement depend on what you enter.

Step 6: Make sure your shop is checkout-ready

Registration gets you a slot, but your shop still needs a working, priced catalog and a functioning checkout before you go live, since buyers will be purchasing directly inside your stream. If your shop link is not yet set up with real prices and real stock counts, get that sorted in the days after you register rather than waiting until the week before the fair.

Step 7: Wait for your slot assignment

Once registered, you will receive your scheduled broadcast window across the Saturday 12 or Sunday 13 window. Slots are spread across both days so vendors are not all competing for buyer attention in the same hour, so do not be surprised if your slot lands at a time you would not have picked yourself. Plan your team's availability around it as soon as you know it.

Step 8: Collect your promotional materials

Registered vendors receive creative promotional materials including event graphics, countdown assets, and caption templates. Download these as soon as they are available and start posting countdown content on your own social pages in the weeks before the fair, since your go-live moment will also auto-post to Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook automatically on the day itself.

Step 9: Prepare for delivery volume

Delivery support and guidance is provided, but you still need to be ready to fulfil a spike in orders inside a short window, with 24-hour delivery targets for same-city orders. Line up your packaging, your delivery partner, and your stock levels before the weekend arrives, not during it.

Step 10: Go live, and remember it does not end on Sunday

Your shop and your slot replay stay live and sellable after the event ends, so treat the fair as the beginning of a longer sales window rather than a single deadline. Buyers who did not catch you live can still find and buy from the replay afterward.
