Bifixit National LIVE Trade Fair: Everything You Need to Know
Dates, categories, fees, vendor benefits and buyer experience — the complete picture of Nigeria's first national livestream-native trade fair.
Nigeria's first national livestream-native trade fair happens over one weekend — Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December 2026 — and it works differently enough from both a physical trade fair and a normal ecommerce day that it's worth walking through exactly how it runs, whether you're planning to sell or planning to shop.
The format, in plain terms
Vendors broadcast live at scheduled slots across the two days. Buyers watch those broadcasts and check out directly inside the stream — no leaving to find the product on another page, no separate payment step outside the live video. It's the same underlying mechanic as TikTok Shop LIVE, run as a coordinated national event across Bifixit's own vendor base instead of individual creators streaming independently.
What's for sale
Categories span Fashion, Beauty, Electronics, Food & Groceries, Home & Living and more — a genuinely broad spread rather than a single-niche event. Anything in a regulated category — food, cosmetics, drugs, medical devices — requires the vendor to hold a valid NAFDAC number. The fair also prohibits tobacco, alcohol, weapons, counterfeit goods, prescription drugs and adult content across every category, no exceptions.
Who can sell
Nigerian vendors with a valid CAC business registration number get priority slot allocation, which matters because slots are the scarce resource in this format — there are only so many hours across two days. International vendors can register too, which is part of why the fair can promise buyers from around the world rather than a purely domestic audience.
What registration costs
Vendor registration is ₦100,000 if completed before 1 November 2026 — the early-bird rate — and ₦150,000 from 1 November onward. Vendors already on an active Bifixit paid subscription plan register for free, which is a meaningful incentive to be a subscribed seller on the platform before the fair rather than registering as a one-off participant.
What vendors actually get for that fee
- A scheduled live slot during the two-day national event
- Creative promotional materials — event graphics, countdown assets and caption templates — rather than having to design their own marketing from scratch
- Delivery support and guidance
- Zero per-minute or per-viewer video platform fees, since the fair runs on Bifixit's own self-hosted livestream infrastructure
- Automatic cross-posting of their go-live moment to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook — free promotion outside the platform itself
- A shop and slot replay that stay live and sellable after the event ends, so the fair isn't a one-off, it's a permanent addition to their storefront
How buyers actually shop it
There's no ticket or entry fee for shoppers. You watch a vendor's scheduled slot, ask questions in real time, and check out inside the stream when you're ready — the same flow whether the vendor is selling a dress, a blender or a bag of garri. If you miss the live slot, the replay and shop remain sellable afterward, so a missed slot isn't a missed vendor.
Payments and delivery
Nigerian buyer payments settle directly to the vendor's own verified bank account. Delivery targets are 24 hours for same-city orders and up to 7 days for international orders — plan gift timing and any date-sensitive purchases around that gap, especially for orders placed later in the fair weekend.
The rule that keeps it honest
Streams have to be genuinely live — looping a recorded video in place of a real broadcast isn't allowed. That single rule is what keeps the fair's core promise — that you're watching a real person with real stock, answering real questions — actually true, rather than becoming a marketing gimmick dressed up as live video.
Why \"everything you need to know\" is really two answers
If you're a vendor, the trade fair is a scheduled, discounted-if-you're-early entry point into national and international reach, with the marketing and delivery groundwork partly done for you. If you're a buyer, it's a two-day window where discovery and purchase collapse into a single moment, with the safety net of a replay if you can't make it live. Both halves point back to the same underlying platform: a priced catalog, a shareable shop link, and a real checkout that settles money to a real account — the fair is just the loudest, most concentrated version of what Bifixit already does every day.
